Big events and their organizational and operational risks in focus at the Centre

Big events are global, media-fuelled phenomena. Ranging from the mega ones, such as the Olympics or FIFA World Cup, to rock concerts, theatrical tours, festivals and the like, they pose complex risks for organisers and sponsors. The stakes, both financial and reputational are growing exponentially. The Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue took an in-depth look at big events in January 2013, zeroing in on their risk management and the role that re/insurance plays in putting on the show.
