Tobias Thomas is a professor at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University and is head of department of Business Informatics in Heilbronn. Dr. Thomas' research and teaching concisely focus on intertwining informational engineering and business in a dynamic environment.

As an executive trainer, he has facilitated over 300 international sessions on leadership, innovation, and management. Dr. Thomas has collaborated with well-known companies including Allianz, AXA, BASF, Deutsche Telekom, Groupama, Hewlett Packard, PartnerRe, RSA Insurance, and SAP. He also lectures in a variety of MBA programs and in International Strategic Management, Accounting, Controlling, and Finance conglomerates at universities throughout Europe.

Before becoming a professor, he held a leadership position at a German bank, Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall AG, and was vice president and managing director of TATA Interactive Systems, a consulting firm in association with the global TATA group.

He successfully helped in the development  of many innovative strategies in various industries and business training concepts that included management simulations. Dr. Thomas was responsible for the creation of the world's first Solvency II business simulation, which so far had more than 2,000 board members and actuaries participating throughout the world.
